ROSEVILLE, Minn. (AP Aug 8, 2013) – A project engineer from a northwest Minneapolis suburb has come forward to claim one-third of a $448 million Powerball jackpot.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Paul White, of Ham Lake, was introduced Thursday afternoon at a news conference at the Minnesota State Lottery’s headquarters.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The other two winning tickets were sold in New Jersey.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 White says he learned he was holding a winning ticket Thursday morning after his “significant other” called him to say one of three winners had been sold in Minnesota. He says he purchased two tickets for Wednesday’s drawing, and found one matched all six numbers.<\/p>\n
\u00a0At least three people in two states will split the $448 million Powerball jackpot.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lottery officials say two winning tickets were sold in New Jersey and one was sold in Minnesota.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 New Jersey lottery officials say one of the winning tickets in that state was purchased at a Super Stop & Shop store in South Brunswick. The other one was bought at an Acme Markets store in Little Egg Harbor.

\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Phil Weber, the director of the Acme store, says he’s just happy that, in his words, “someone’s life is changing for the positive.”
