{"id":247344,"date":"2022-04-21T14:56:45","date_gmt":"2022-04-21T19:56:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=247344"},"modified":"2022-04-21T14:56:45","modified_gmt":"2022-04-21T19:56:45","slug":"nd-jamestown-airline-boardings-increase-in-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=247344","title":{"rendered":"ND-Jamestown Airline Boardings increase in March"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-20938\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/jamestownAirportsign002-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/jamestownAirportsign002-300x202.jpg 300w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/jamestownAirportsign002-259x175.jpg 259w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/jamestownAirportsign002.jpg 445w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Bismarck\u00a0 (NDAC)\u00a0\u00a0 The North Dakota Aeronautics commission reports that North Dakota\u2019s eight commercial service airports posted a total of 97,561 airline passenger boardings during the month of March 2022, which is a 35% increase in passengers from March 2021.<\/p>\n<p>This month also brought the state\u2019s highest level of airline passenger traffic that has been experienced over a monthly timeframe over the last two years.\u00a0 The pre-pandemic month of February 2020 was the last time that the state posted a higher monthly passenger count.\u00a0 Multiple airports within the state have now surpassed or are very close to reaching pre-pandemic passenger demand levels.<\/p>\n<p>North Dakota also continues to trend above the national average when looking at the overall pre-pandemic airline passenger recovery rate and the state is currently only 9% below the passenger counts experienced in March of 2019.\u00a0 Passenger demand throughout the country has continued to stay strong in the domestic leisure market, however the business and international travel sectors are still suffering from COVID-19 impacts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is exciting news to see the highest monthly airline passenger count in two years,\u201d stated Kyle Wanner, Executive Director of the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission.\u00a0 \u201cThese recent passenger numbers help to showcase the continual resiliency and positive recovery in demand for air transportation services within North Dakota.\u00a0 We also expect that this demand for air service should remain elevated going into the summer months, particularly in the leisure sector of the travel market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown Regional Airport boardings in March this year were 1,282 compared to 830 in March 2021, an increase of 54.46 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Through March this year, the Jamestown Boardings were 3,014 compared to 1,764 through March of 2021, and improvement of 70.86 percent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bismarck\u00a0 (NDAC)\u00a0\u00a0 The North Dakota Aeronautics commission reports that North Dakota\u2019s eight commercial service airports posted a total of 97,561 airline passenger boardings during the month of March 2022, which is a 35% increase in passengers from March 2021.
