He grew up in Washington, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Colorado. Jim graduated from Mile High Academy, Colorado in 1973. He enjoyed his career in construction, especially working outdoors. Jim lived in Jamestown and later worked for Liechty Mobile Homes, Community Action, and the North Dakota State Hospital as a CNA. Jim\u2019s hobbies included hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.<\/p>\n<p>Jim is survived by his life partner, Jan Hinger, Jamestown; son, James Richard Hinger, Jr.; daughters, Tealee and Jimette; granddaughters, Emily and Rachel; step-daughter, Tami (Dan) Vickery, Jamestown; step-son, Robbie; step-grandchildren, Aspen Rose, Elliott Dale, and Conner Alan; mother, Jessie Schultz, Fargo; brothers, William (Isabel), Portland, TN; Darrell (Amy), Fargo, ND; and Randall (Elisa), LaVergne, TN; sisters-in-law, Teresa Fast and Dawn Hopkins; brother-in-law, Jon Schulze; and many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by grandparents, William and Sara Hinger; father, William Roger Hinger; step-father, Duane A. Schultz; father-in-law, Ervin Schulze; and mother-in-law, Yvonne Fitzgerald.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Darren Purdy officiating.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation: None scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jim Hinger, 58, of Jamestown, ND, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND.
