The Last Arts Market for the season is Sept 1. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the main stage this Thursday :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sept 1&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/strong>OLD FRIENDS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Old Country to Old Rock &amp; Blues<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This band of \u201cOld Friends\u201d plays a variety of music from old country to old rock and blues. Add a dash of Cajun, some Celtic, and a little gospel and you have the music set for a night with The Old Friends. The band\u2019s variety of instruments, music, humor and fun makes for an entertaining night for audiences of all ages.<br>Band Members include: Jon Beyer, Mark Urquhart, Ken Gilbertson, Kerry Wicks, and Jeremy Grey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the main stage performances there will be various opening events, artisan vendors, creative opportunities and various cultural events. As always, these events are free and open for all to enjoy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Downtown Jamestown comes to life once again! You will have a hard time not dancing, clapping or singing along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kicks Dixieland Band:<\/strong><br>Fargo Moorhead\u2019s premiere big band jazz ensemble<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fmkicksband.com\/\">https:\/\/www.fmkicksband.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kicks Band was founded in 1975 by Edward Christianson for musicians to enjoy music socializing, playing great big band literature, and improvising jazz. The band got together just for \u201cKICKS\u201d. Ed made it a priority to provide all band members\u2019 opportunities to improvise and to feel musically satisfied. The Dixieland side of the band is a smaller group performing around our regions celebrating Jazz in all its forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Heather Rae &amp; the Heather Rae Band:<\/strong><br><a href=\"http:\/\/heatherraemusic.com\">heatherraemusic.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heather Rae is an Indie\/Pop singer-songwriter based in Nashville, TN. She broke out into the entertainment industry as a figure skater, singer and emcee in professional ice shows and continues to perform in various ice shows today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an artist, she has performed in various venues around Nashville including the famous Bluebird Caf\u00e9 and, a fan favorite, the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Heather Rae\u2019s refreshingly unique pop sound is a rare find in a city known for its country music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Matt Hodek &amp; The Dakota Dutchmen:<br><\/strong>Polka Music<br><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dakotadutchmen.com\">http:\/\/www.dakotadutchmen.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This seven-member authentic polka band based out of Lankin, North Dakota plays numerous engagements throughout the United States. Instrumentation is a key part of the band with several members playing multiple instruments including piano accordion, button accordion, concertina, valve trombone, trumpet, baritone, tuba, clarinet, tenor sax, piano and melodica piano along with vocals. Laddie Pecka plays two trumpets at the same time and Rose Pecka &amp; Donnie Swartz entertain with their high energy piano duets. Playing good old time tunes: waltz, polka, schottische and two step tempo, the band will make you tap your toes and put a smile on your face as they play \u201chappy music for happy people\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sugar Gliders:<br><\/strong>Soft Rock R&amp;B Country and Blues<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local band, based right here in Jamestown, with decades of musical experience and plenty of talent. Veeder\u2019s ability to captivate audiences with stories of her love for the landscape, the culture and the people of small town America is what pulls at the heartstrings of audiences across the globe and made her original music such a success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stick Ponies:<\/strong><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/StickPoniesJamestown\/\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/StickPoniesJamestown\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Stick Ponies (Grant Invie, Daron Lacina, Robert Puffe, Linda Roesch, Austin Lang, Sephra Puffe) started playing together at Jamestown open mic jams. It became a \u201cregular stick &amp; pony show\u201d &amp; had to take the fun out! The Stick Ponies play a mix of original music, classic &amp; modern country favorites, with bunch of tasty jams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Blue Wailers:<\/strong>  July 21<br><a href=\"https:\/\/thebluewailers.com\">https:\/\/thebluewailers.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Blue Wailers are a traditional 5-member blues group based in Minnesota. They know that the blues are about feeling good. When life dishes out a dose of trouble, you\u2019ve got to look trouble square in the eye and sing a song. There is no crying for these guys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Wailers respect tradition, paying homage to the greats like Robert Johnson, Son House, Elmore James, and Muddy Waters.
