{"id":251327,"date":"2022-07-10T09:57:00","date_gmt":"2022-07-10T14:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=251327"},"modified":"2022-07-16T15:55:19","modified_gmt":"2022-07-16T20:55:19","slug":"myron-sommerfeld-performs-jul-13-at-bandshell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=251327","title":{"rendered":"Myron Sommerfeld Performs July 13 at Bandshell"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Valley City  (CSi)  Valley City Parks &amp; Recreation will bring Myron Sommerfeld to the City Park Bandshell on Wednesday, July 13 at 7:15 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the program, a tree planted in memory of Peggy Lee will be dedicated, as  Myron has been instrumental in restoring the history of Peggy Lee to Valley City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Myron &amp; The Music of the Stars orchestra will feature swing, 50\u2019s-60\u2019s Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll, Classic Country, Waltzes, Polkas, L\u2019atin, Patriotic and even sing-alongs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Myron received the \u201cVCSU Music Hall of Fame\u201d and \u201cDistinguished Alumnus\u201d awards.&nbsp; His song \u201cSteppin\u2019 Out to Go Dancing\u201d was selected as the theme of the National Ballroom Dance Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Myron and his wife, grew up in Valley City.&nbsp; They both taught \u2026 Jenneice taught 5<sup>th<\/sup> grade for 27 years and Myron taught K-12, including choir and instrumental for 29 \u00bd years.
