Tues August 9, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Carmen Yanish, 79, West Fargo, ND (formerly of Valley City, ND) passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family while on hospice care.&nbsp; Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2022, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Valley City.&nbsp; A prayer vigil will begin at the church at 7:00.&nbsp; The funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 13 at 10:00 AM with an hour of visitation prior to the service.&nbsp; The vigil service and Mass will be live streamed then archived and can be viewed along with her obituary on Carmen\u2019s tribute page at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lerudmathias.com\/\">www.lerudmathias.com<\/a>, where you can also view and sign her guestbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carmen Yanish was born Carmen Alvina Seim to Clarence Arthur and Alma Elvina (Larsen) Seim in Milbank, SD on June 15, 1943.&nbsp; She grew up in LaBolt, SD and graduated from Strandberg (SD) High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On February 23, 1963, she married Leo Peter \u201cPete\u201d Keaveny in Minneapolis, MN.&nbsp; The couple made their home in the Minneapolis area until moving to Valley City, ND in 1969.&nbsp; Carmen began her 38-year career as a bookkeeper at Christianson Motors, which eventually became Perkins, Inc.&nbsp; She also worked at Valley Fashions, the Nearly Nu, and Bloom-N-Crafts Floral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>August 16, 1986, Carmen married Gary Yanish at the Yanish Family Farm near Cuba, ND.&nbsp; They lived in Valley City until she and Gary were retired, and they moved to Fargo, ND.&nbsp; She enjoyed their winters in Texas until her health kept them settled in Fargo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She enjoyed her time in Bible study and with the ladies\u2019 group in church.&nbsp; Carmen\u2019s greatest love was spending time with her family.&nbsp; She loved and adored each and every one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.&nbsp; She also enjoyed a good visit with friends and family and was a member of the Red Hats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carmen is survived by her husband, Gary of West Fargo; daughters, Theresa \u201cTeri\u201d (Randy) McClaflin of rural Barnes County, ND and Michelle (Dean) Minnerath of St. Cloud, MN; sons, Chad (Jamie) Yanish of Fargo, ND and Brian (Brooke) Yanish of Valley City, ND; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.&nbsp; She also leaves brothers-in-law, David (Marlene) Yanish and Raymond (Julie) Yanish; sisters-in-law, Susie Yanish, Phyllis Kramer, and Janice (Terry) McKenzie; and several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jeremy Van Bruggen; sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and George Olsen; brother and sister-in-law, Marlowe and Marge Seim;
