Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Tourism Board has made the decision to agree to enter into a partnership with the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber board held a similar discussion of establishing a partnership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tourism Executive Director Searle Swedlund submitted his resignation earlier this month,paving the way for the decision, and having Chamber Executive Emily Bivens assuming the Executive Director position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the proposal, tourism and the chamber will keep their separate identities, while being given direction from their own boards moving ahead. Both committees have formed a task force to make decisions concerning office structure, workspace, wages, added employment, and other issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Jamestown Chamber would absorb the one position with Jamestown Tourism while creating a seperate position for marketing for both Chamber and Tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
