Jamestown (Arts Center) The Jamestown Fine Arts Association (JFAA) returns the annual art show September 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anna Jacobson, Gallery Manager, Anna Jacobson says the 58th annual show will feature a variety of pieces in different mediums from artists across the state. This years display will also have on of Don Paul\u2019s last finished pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She says, \u201cDon Paul\u2019s death, May 6 was a great loss to his family and the arts community,\u201d Jacobson stated. \u201cI once received a little manilla envelope in the mail addressed with Don\u2019s handwriting. Inside were a collection of colorful copper test plates along with Don\u2019s copious notes on technique. A few months prior, Don and I had discussed my current work on copper and how I might get different colors. This was not just a one off, Don\u2019s unselfish help was freely given to many fellow artists. Don\u2019s spirit lives on in of his example of generosity as well as in his sculpture, and in his jewelry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A reception to the new exhibit opening will be September 15 at 5:30 PM. Refreshments will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Admission to The Arts Center gallery is free and open to all. Gallery hours are:
Monday \u2013 Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
