Jamestown (UJ) \u2013 U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in education rankings, announced the 2022-2023 Best Colleges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Serving as a guide for prospective students and their families, the rankings evaluate 1,500 colleges and universities on up to 17 measures of academic quality. University of Jamestown has again been ranked as one of the best academic institutions in the Midwest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Polly Peterson, University of Jamestown President, credits UJ\u2019s approach to education\u2014in which they combine the liberal arts with professional preparation\u2014as one of the top reasons the University continues to be ranked by U.S. News & World Report. \u201cOur commitment to creating holistic graduates who are well-rounded professionals and global citizens has helped make UJ a place of distinction in the region,\u201d Dr. Peterson commented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To calculate the rankings, U.S. News focuses on academic quality and places emphasis on outcome measures \u2013 including graduation rates, retention rates, graduate indebtedness, and social mobility. Outcomes are the mostly highly weighted ranking factor, contributing 40% to each school\u2019s overall score<\/p>\n\n\n\n
