Box Score<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Jamestown (UJ<\/a>) Morningside (Iowa) scored twice in the second half Saturday afternoon, sending the University of Jamestown men’s soccer team to a 2-0 defeat at the Jimmie Turf Field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The loss puts the Jimmies’ overall record at 2-5-1 and 0-1-1 in the conference, while the Mustangs improve their record to 3-3-1 overall and 2-0-0 in the GPAC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Levi Von Hagen capitalized on a pass from Jonas Markfoged and beat UJ keeper Mateo Salazar<\/a> (SO\/Aspen, Colo.) to make it 1-0 in the 54th minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The match stayied 1-0 unitl Gero Zarbo added an insurance goal in the 89th minute with an assist from Max Sickenberger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jamestown had a pair of scoring chances in the latter part of the match but Jack Crombie<\/a> (SO\/Edinburgh, Scotland)’s 72nd minute header went wide and Frankie Parkinson<\/a> (SO\/Bournemouth, England)’s 80th minute shot on goal was saved by the Morningside keeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Salazar made two saves for UJ but had his personal streak of 188 minutes and 38 seconds without allowing a goal broken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Next up for the Jimmies is a road match Thursday at Hastings (Neb.) Morningside falls to 2-4-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the GPAC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Emersen Kimball<\/a> (FR\/Graham, Wash.) scored her second goal in as many matches, giving UJ a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute. Gaby Sarkis<\/a> (SO\/Campbelltown, Sydney, Australia) was credited with the assist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jamestown wasted little time in doubling their lead as Iliana Ramirez<\/a> (SO\/Marysville, Wash.) notched her first of the year to make it 2-0 after 19 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n UJ took a 2-0 lead into the halftime break, and Sarkis rounded out the scoring in the 75th minute with an assist from Kamryn Fiscus<\/a> (SR\/Yakima, Wash.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shots ended 14-12 in favor of the Jimmies, who also put nine shots on target to the Mustangs’ six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tea Pence<\/a> (FR\/Hamilton, Ohio) (five saves) and Anna Cole<\/a> (FR\/Laurel, Mont.)
