{"id":257317,"date":"2022-09-20T22:01:12","date_gmt":"2022-09-21T03:01:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=257317"},"modified":"2022-09-22T06:24:14","modified_gmt":"2022-09-22T11:24:14","slug":"public-works-committee-recommends-replacing-equip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=257317","title":{"rendered":"Public Works Committee Updated On Landfill Space"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Jamestown  (CSi)  In a recent study conducted on the city inert landfill Sanitation Foreman Shawn O\u2019Neill, says it was found there\u2019s not a lot of space left in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interstate Engineering&#8217;s Daryl Hornbuckle with Interstate Engineering told the committee  that they have talked  with the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality on the next steps the city could take. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added the city will \u201chighly likely\u201d need to explore construction to add to the inert landfill in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hornbuckle said it would not qualify for SRF funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No action was taken by the committee<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jamestown Public Works Committee recommends approving replacement of two lime press machines at the water treatment plant at over $1.6 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two filter presses are used in the water-softening treatment process that have seen major breakdowns earlier this year.
