Box Score<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n CRETE, Neb.- (UJ<\/a>) –\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Jamestown women’s soccer team made it four straight wins Saturday with a 2-0 decision over Doane University in GPAC action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Jimmies are tied at the top of the conference table with Briar Cliff (Iowa) University at 4-0-0, and moved above the .500 mark for the first time this season, improving to 5-4-1 overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the 43rd minute, Kassandra Noguera<\/a> (FR\/Anaheim, Calif.) scored her first collegiate goal off an assist from Emersen Kimball<\/a> (FR\/Graham, Wash.) to give UJ a 1-0 lead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Kamryn Fiscus<\/a> (SR\/Yakima, Wash.) doubled Jamestown’s lead, picking up her first goal of the season in the 60th minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tea Pence<\/a> (FR\/Hamilton, Ohio) made two saves in goal, playing the first 68 minutes. Anna Cole<\/a> (FR\/Laurel, Mont.) came on for the final 22 minutes and helped preserved the shutout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Jimmies outshot the Tigers 25-5 and had a 12-2 edge in shots on goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jamestown looks to keep its conference undefeated streak alive when they return to action on Saturday, October 1, hosting Northwestern (Iowa) College at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The fourth-ranked University of Jamestown volleyball team showed no signs of fatigue after Wednesday’s five-set win over Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) University, defeating Mount Marty (S.D.) University Saturday afternoon at Harold Newman Arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Jimmies took care of the Lancers 25-17, 25-16, and 25-13, raising their record to 14-1 overall and 4-0 in the GPAC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jamestown hit .464 as a team, making only four attack errors on 84 attempts. Five players hit .429 or better, with Darienne Johnson<\/a> (JR\/Eastpointe, Mich.) leading the way at .857 on six kills in seven attempts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kalli Hegerle<\/a> (SR\/West Fargo, N.D.) led the offense with 10 kills and added 23 assists. Lexi Olson<\/a> (SO\/Langdon, N.D.) added eight kills and recorded six total blocks on defense. Anna Holen<\/a> (SR\/LaMoure, N.D.) and Logan Sherman<\/a> (JR\/Marshall, Minn.) both had seven kills and a pair of block assists.
