(UJ<\/a>) A night after scoring seven goals in the season opener, the University of Jamestown D2 hockey team added six more to their total Saturday night in a 6-2 win over St. Cloud State (Minn.) University in WCCHA action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamestown earns its first sweep as newly-minted members of the conference, and will return to action September 30 for a weekend series at St. Thomas (Minn.) University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six different players had goals for the Jimmies, including first period markers by Christian Jarmusz<\/a> (JR\/Eden, N.Y.), Justin King<\/a> (JR\/Markham, Ontario), Gunnar Gibbs<\/a> (SR\/Grand Forks, N.D.), and Josh Hoffman<\/a> (JR\/McMurray, Pa.), all of whom were goal scorers in Friday’s win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex Church<\/a> (SO\/Troy, Ohio) (second period) and Quin Garrison<\/a> (SR\/Prince George, British Columbia) (third period) joined Gibbs with power play goals Saturday as the Jimmies were an efficient 3-for-5 with the man advantage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jordan Lott<\/a> (FR\/Canmore, Alberta) stopped 22 of the 24 shots he faced in his UJ debut. Jamestown outshot St. Cloud State by a 51-24 margin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
