{"id":257992,"date":"2022-09-28T11:47:17","date_gmt":"2022-09-28T16:47:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=257992"},"modified":"2022-09-28T11:47:18","modified_gmt":"2022-09-28T16:47:18","slug":"blackbird-damage-to-crops-assistance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=257992","title":{"rendered":"Blackbird damage to crops assistance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Bismarck  (ND Dept. of Ag) \u2013  North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring  reminds farmers that assistance is available for blackbird damage to crops through the U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s (USDA) Wildlife Services program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBlackbirds cause millions of dollars in losses annually to sunflower and grain crops in North Dakota,\u201d Goehring said. \u201cWildlife Services provides integrated blackbird damage management by loaning nonlethal management equipment to farmers and assisting with blackbird dispersal from sunflower fields and roost sites.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wildlife Services provides federal leadership and expertise to resolve wildlife conflicts that threaten public health and safety; and agriculture, property and natural resources.
