The No Excuses program in October as part of National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Early Detection and Breast Cancer Awareness month. Each year in the United States, about 264,000 women get breast cancer and 42,000 women die from the disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The JRMC estimates upwards of 1,300 area women are not up to date on their mammogram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Katie says there shouldn\u2019t be any excuses to put yourself second. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The No Excuses program checks a patient\u2019s insurance and other programs to see if they qualify. Donations and events like RM Stoudt\u2019s Running of the Pink, patients incur no cost for the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She added that often times, women put their healthcare last. No Excuses was created to eliminate that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
