{"id":261664,"date":"2022-11-08T11:03:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-08T17:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=261664"},"modified":"2022-11-08T16:17:35","modified_gmt":"2022-11-08T22:17:35","slug":"federal-suit-filed-by-parents-of-man-killed-bicycling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=261664","title":{"rendered":"Federal Suit Filed By Parents Of Man Killed Bicycling"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>(<a href=\"https:\/\/kfgo.com\/2022\/11\/08\/693344\/\">KFGO<\/a>) \u2013 The parents of a man who was hit and killed while bicycling near Jamestown this summer have filed a wrongful death lawsuit in federal court against the driver of the pick-up that struck their son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the complaint filed Monday in District Court, Jeffrey and Julie St. John accuse James Lees, a 78-year-old Jamestown man, of negligence and wrongful conduct that resulted in the death of Timothy St. John and are asking for a jury trial and damages of or exceeding $150,000 on two counts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The crash happened midday on June 19, on State Highway 20, ten miles north of Jamestown. Timothy St. John, a 20-year-old man from North Brook, Illinois, was riding his bicycle and wearing a helmet when he was hit by a pick-up truck driven by Lees.
