Volunteer Information at Hope Village<\/b>: <\/b><\/p>\n
Make a difference in someone\u2019s life<\/span> \u2013 volunteer for rebuilding houses in Minot, ND through Hope Village.\u00a0 Volunteers are needed to continue rebuilding efforts in Minot.<\/p>\n If you have experience in remodeling<\/span> your home, you have the skills we need<\/span>.<\/p>\n Hope Village is closing the volunteer housing\/feeding portion of the response October 12, 2013, \u00a0but volunteers will be housed elsewhere if arriving after that date.<\/p>\n \u00a0The partners involved in rebuild, RAFT and the Recovery Warehouse will continue to assist homeowners to return to their homes beyond that time.<\/p>\n \u00a0If you are able to volunteer, please call 701-500-5206 for more details.\u00a0 If volunteers need housing, please mention it at that time. Stipends or mileage may be available.<\/b>\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0As of September 10th, there are 45 families waiting for volunteers who will rebuild their flooded homes.\u00a0 All stages from framing through finishing work are needed\u2013 are you able help get these families back in their homes before the snow flies?<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 With 45 homes still needing assistance to be rebuilt, your help is needed now!<\/i><\/p>\n Volunteers Numbers Update<\/b>:<\/p>\n v\u00a0 \u00a0Volunteers Sept 1st \u2013Sept 7th there were 6 volunteer groups with 24 volunteers, donating 870 hours working on 16 homes.<\/p>\n v\u00a0 A volunteer hour in ND is valued at $19.18\/hr which equates to $16,686.60 of service given in just 7 days.<\/p>\n v\u00a0 As of September 2013, \u00a0the Recovery Warehouse has supplied building materials to 202 <\/b>homes.<\/p>\n Additional Assistance<\/b><\/p>\n <\/b>Additional assistance may be available to those impacted by the 2011 flooding.\u00a0 Homeowners who live within the city limits of Minot may qualify for Community Development Block Grant funds.\u00a0Did you<\/span><\/i><\/b> claim catastrophic loss on your tax return for 2011 or 2012<\/i><\/b><\/span>?
