Called JRMC U classes, these events help individuals make informed choices about their health.

“We care about this community. If we can offer learning opportunities like this, people can find home-based solutions for their needs. If that doesn’t work, individuals can at least learn what treatment options are available,” said JRMC President & CEO Mike Delfs. “Missing work and life to see a doctor can be a challenge, so we want to remove as many barriers as we can.”

On average, more than 20 people attend each of the JRMC U events. Some classes even welcome 40 and 50 attendees.

“That tells us that people crave this information,” he said. “They might be out there, not living life to the fullest, and they don’t have too. Education about at-home and in-clinic treatment options is available, from providers you can trust.”

The JRMC U: Happy Feet is in-person and at TRAC because that is convenient for the people who often need this care, Delfs said.

Future JRMC U classes include:

Wednesday, April 26: “Prostate Health” featuring Urologist Dr. Brent Williams

Thursday, May 18: “Women’s Health” featuring OB/GYN Dr. Emily Stromquist

All events are set for 11 a.m. Attendees do not need to be TRAC members to attend.

To learn more about care or future JRMC U classes, visit jrmcnd.com/U.

About Jamestown Regional Medical Center

Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, N.D. serves 35,000 people in the North Dakota heartland.
