UJ won the opener 8-5 then held on for a 5-4 win in game two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Game 1:<\/strong><br>Six runs in the fourth inning ended up being the difference for Jamestown in an 8-5 victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/23\/3\/12182\">Kendall Yackley<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/23\/3\/12231\">Xander Orejudos<\/a>&nbsp;hit back-to-back home runs to open the game, but the Lancers answered with a pair of runs in the second to tie the game at 2-2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UJ loaded the bases with one out in the top of the fourth, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/23\/3\/12671\">Alex Alva<\/a>&nbsp;came through with a pinch-hit single to give the Jimmies a one-run lead.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/23\/3\/12672\">Troy Berg<\/a>&nbsp;cleared the bases with a double to center and Jamestown opened up a 6-2 lead. One out later, Orejudos doubled to score Berg, and then came home on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/23\/3\/12222\">Triston Madison<\/a>&#8216;s single to left center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mount Marty cut into the lead with a pair of runs in the fifth and added another in the sixth but got no closer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Orejudos finished with a pair of hits and scored twice.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/23\/3\/12206\">Luke Zimmer<\/a>&nbsp;improved to 7-1 on the mound, giving up four earned runs in 5 1\/3 innings.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/23\/3\/12209\">Hayden Brown<\/a>&nbsp;recorded his fifth save with 1 2\/3 innings of scoreless relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Game 2:<\/strong><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/23\/3\/12209\">Hayden Brown<\/a>&#8216;s two-run triple and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/23\/3\/12688\">Jordan Singleton<\/a>&#8216;s RBI single in the third inning helped the Jimmies to a 4-0 lead and they held on for a 5-4 win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singleton drove in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/23\/3\/12182\">Kendall Yackley<\/a>&nbsp;with a first inning double to make it 1-0 before UJ added to the lead in the third. Mount Marty made it a two-run game after scoring in the fifth to make it 4-2, and Jamestown got one of those runs back in the seventh on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/23\/3\/12219\">Isaiah Roebuck<\/a>&#8216;s pinch-hit single with two outs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lancers had a golden opportunity to tie the game or take the lead in the eighth.
