On July 23rd, the Cass County Sheriff\u2019s Office and ND Highway Patrol responded to a crash
that occurred in the garage area at an apartment complex at 4760 Timberline Drive in Fargo.
A black, 2014 Ford F-150 was involved in a crash involving three garages in the apartment
complex. The driver of the Ford, John Overboe, 42 YOA, Fargo, ND, was parking in his
garage at the complex when he had a medical issue. During this medical issue, the Ford
remained in drive and the accelerator was depressed.
The Ford drove through the back wall into a second garage, side swiping a vehicle in this
second garage. The Ford then exited the second garage through the garage door, crossed
the parking lot and entered a third garage, driving through the garage door and becoming
disabled in this third garage and striking a second vehicle.
Overboe was uninjured in the crash. No other person was involved in the crash. There was
significant damage to all three garage units at this location.
The crash remains under investigation by the ND Highway Patrol. No charges are expected
