The memorial is set for 6:30 p.m. JRMC Hospice will also plant a tree in loving memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grief can be an isolating and lonely experience. JRMC Hospice offers this event and other programs so individuals can share their loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis memorial is a celebration of life,\u201d said Maren Radi, Hospice Coordinator for JRMC. \u201cIt is an opportunity for bereaved families and the hospice staff to honor loved ones and support each other.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JRMC Hospice supports bereaved individuals who sometimes struggle because they feel alone. Hospice\u2019s mission is to help individuals and their families through the challenges of life\u2019s last season. The goal is to provide comfort through symptom control and support of the individual and their family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The memorial helps those families through the mourning process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen a loved one passes away, family and friends host a funeral or memorial service. While those ceremonies conclude, the grief does not. We offer this event to demonstrate our support for our patients\u2019 loved ones,\u201d Radi said. \u201cThese trees bring peace and comfort to the families left behind. The trees are living monuments symbolizing how life renews itself. Families often return to the sites of these planted trees to remember their loved ones.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the event, family photos are available by request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The memorial service is free and open to anyone.
