WASHINGTON \u2013 Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee, this weekend traveled to Tel Aviv as part of a bipartisan, bicameral group in support of Israel, a key U.S. ally that is responding to recent terrorist attacks from Hamas. During his visit, Hoeven met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The senator also met with families of Israelis who have been taken hostage by Hamas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen times get tough, friends stick together. I traveled to Israel in support of our ally, and its efforts to defeat Hamas and stand firmly against terrorism. We also talked about how we can work together to oppose Iran and its attempts to destabilize the region,\u201d said Hoeven. \u201cWe had good meetings with Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israeli leaders to outline our support as they work to remove Hamas from power.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hoeven traveled to Tel Aviv as part of a bipartisan, bicameral delegation that included Senator Jerry Moran, Hoeven\u2019s colleague on the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee, as well as House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul, Ranking Member Gregory Meeks and other members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
