VALLEY CITY, ND – In North Dakota, 8.1% of those aged 45 and over report they are experiencing confusion or memory loss that is happening more often or getting worse. Nearly two-thirds of them have not talked to a health care professional about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf you are concerned about memory loss and want to learn more, join us for the next Sheyenne Valley Memory Caf\u00e9. Beth Olson from the Alzheimer\u2019s Association will be answering questions about Alzheimer\u2019s and dementia,\u201d states Amber Schmidt, registered nurse at City-County Health District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sheyenne Valley Memory Caf\u00e9 will be held on Thursday, November 30 at Faith Lutheran Church, 309 4th Street NE, Valley City. Coffee and dessert will be available from 1-3 PM. A brief program will start at 1:30 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A memory caf\u00e9 is an opportunity for individuals with dementia or early onset Alzheimer\u2019s to gather together and connect with others. Caregivers and family members are invited to join the Memory Caf\u00e9 as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
