News Sept 20, 2013) The Jamestown Public School Board and Jamestown Education Association have reached an agreement on teacher salaries, ending negotiations that started in April this year.<\/p>\n<p>They agreed to have the two-year contract reflect the recommendation by the North Dakota Education Fact Finding Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The JEA offer was to follow the fact finders\u2019 recommendation.<\/p>\n<p>Under the agreement, teachers receive a 4 percent salary increase for this school year and a 4.3 percent increase for 2014-2015.<\/p>\n<p>School Board President, Roger Haut says the School Board would accept the Fact Finding Commission\u2019s proposal, &#8220;in the best interest of time, money and the well-being of our students and our community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The negotiating session was the next step in a process that had the government-appointed Fact Finding Commission review the School Board\u2019s and JEA\u2019s offers after negotiations hit impasse, with neither side adjusting its offer.<\/p>\n<p>Business manager Sally Ost said contracts will be made for the teachers as soon as possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V.
