{"id":279203,"date":"2024-01-19T01:02:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-19T07:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=279203"},"modified":"2024-01-19T09:04:58","modified_gmt":"2024-01-19T15:04:58","slug":"93rd-annual-chamber-banquet-awards-january-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=279203","title":{"rendered":"Annual Jamestown Chamber Awards Announced"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>JAMESTOWN, ND, (CHAMBER) \u2013 The 93<sup>rd<\/sup> Annual Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet was held January 18<sup>th<\/sup>, 2024 at the Harold Newman Arena on the University of Jamestown campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The annual banquet is held to highlight the importance of the chamber and recognize the businesses and individuals who continue to serve the community and surrounding area to the highest degree. Congratulations to all these award winners!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Beautification Committee recognized<strong> Eddy\u2019s Funeral Home<\/strong> with the Continuing Beautification Award, <strong>Premium Property Management<\/strong> with the Spot of Beauty Award, and <strong>Blufrog Realty<\/strong> with the Best Landscaping Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Young Professional of the Year Award was given to <strong>Amanda Thrift<\/strong> of First Community Credit Union. Thrift was nominated for her extensive involvement at many levels of the community, including Jamestown Tourism, Aktion Club, Prairie Paws Rescue, and more. Numerous testimonies spoke to her passion and drive to help better the Jamestown area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Business of the Year award went to the <strong>Medicine Shoppe<\/strong>. This award recognizes a business who continues to provide superior customer service with high involvement in the community. The award is voted on by the Young Professionals of Jamestown from the previous year\u2019s Business of the Month award winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Above &amp; Beyond Award was given to <strong>Annie Hancock<\/strong> with SMP Health \u2013 Ave Maria and Jamestown Rotary Club. Hancock was nominated for her exceptional drive to better Jamestown. If it\u2019s not in her role with Ave Maria, it\u2019s through other ventures that include the 2023 Coats for Kids program. When it wasn\u2019t going to take place, Hancock stepped up to ensure the need would still be met by creating the Gear Up For Winter event with the Jamestown Rotary Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award was given to <strong>Rod Wilhelm<\/strong>. Wilhelm was nominated for his incredible, lifetime commitment to Jamestown. The long list of involvement includes his work on the Stutsman County Fair Board, Huntington\u2019s 5K run\/walk, UJ Booster Club, and support of employees and their community involvement.
