Jamestown N.D. \u2013 Loyal to Local Passport program was another success, reported by the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Designed to keep and support local spending over the holidays, the 3rd Annual Loyal to Local Passport Program challenged participants to spend $250 or more, at a minimum of 5 businesses per passport. Over 50 businesses participated as stamping locations. Once a passport was fully stamped, it was then turned in for a chance to win one of several prizes that were also donated by even more participating, local businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over 560 completed passports were turned in, which added up to more than $150,000 that stayed local during the 2023 holiday shopping season in the Jamestown area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re extremely appreciative of everyone at all levels of participation in the program,\u201d stated Emily Bivens, Jamestown Area Chamber Executive Director. \u201cFrom the businesses that donated prizes and stamped booklets to the participants from all over who filled out passports and kept their dollars local.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the Chamber is proud of the final total tracked through Loyal to Local, it is believed there could have been even more spending locally that wasn\u2019t tracked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe know there was much more spent locally,\u201d Bivens added. \u201cOur passport program is just a small part of the local business support from our area residents. From those who turned in just one passport to others who turned in multiple, you made an impact and I\u2019m sure our businesses are grateful for your support. The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to play a part in ensuring our businesses are supported and appreciated.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
