{"id":281216,"date":"2024-04-09T08:12:12","date_gmt":"2024-04-09T13:12:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=281216"},"modified":"2024-04-09T08:16:37","modified_gmt":"2024-04-09T13:16:37","slug":"leona-mae-krapp-tuesday-april-2nd-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=281216","title":{"rendered":"Leona Mae Krapp &#8211; Tuesday April 2, 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Leona Mae Krapp, 99, of Buchanan, ND passed away April 2nd, 2024 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Leona was born February 21, 1925 to Chris and Clara Schultheis in rural Round Top Township in Stutsman County, ND.&nbsp; Leona attended Round Top Country School through 8th grade.&nbsp; Her mother died at a young age and her father was not healthy which is where Leona learned her self-sufficient and hard-working attitude and qualities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Leona married Victor Krapp on October 20, 1944 at St Michael\u2019s Catholic Church in Pingree.&nbsp; They lived on a farm west of Buchanan in Deer Lake Township, where she has lived for the past 80 years until her death.&nbsp; They raised small grains, milked cows, raised livestock, and this was also where they raised their 7 children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Leona was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors, flowers, crafts and wildlife. &nbsp;She maintained her flowers daily up until the last year.&nbsp; At 99 years old, there were no weeds!&nbsp; She kept and planted her seeds and had the prettiest arrangements.&nbsp; She was already planning the flowers she wanted this May. Leona enjoyed puzzles, wordsearch and gameshows.&nbsp; She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.&nbsp; Leona was a member of St. Margaret\u2019s Catholic Church and Altar Society of Buchanan, ND.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Leona was a good cook and served all holidays and family get togethers with a smile.&nbsp; All will remember her Peanut Blossom Cookies as they were a favorite of hers to make.&nbsp; She continued to make homemade bread, even just days before she got sick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Leona was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend with a strong faith in God.&nbsp; She even kept a well-used Rosary in her purse just in case.&nbsp; She was always most interested in serving others, her unconditional love and generosity were unmatched.&nbsp; Leona lived a remarkable, long life and has set an example for all of us to live by.&nbsp; Heaven has just welcomed an angel with a heart of gold.&nbsp; She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Leona is survived by her 7 children:&nbsp; Darrell Krapp, Jamestown, Sandra Green, Jamestown, Gene (Sheila) Krapp, Jamestown, Karolyn (Jim) Mathews, Toledo, OH, Steven (Joan) Krapp, Jamestown, David (Sheila) Krapp, Jamestown, Russell (Darlene) Krapp, Buchanan;&nbsp; 20 grandchildren, many, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leona is preceded in death by her parents, husband Victor Krapp, 2 sisters Viola (Marvin) Fisher and Katherine (Easoph) Harr, and many friends and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Visitation will be at 6:00PM to 7:00PM with a Vigil service at 7:00PM, Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at Eddy Funeral Home.&nbsp; Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00AM, Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 at St James Basilica, Jamestown, ND with the Very Reverend Chad Wilhelm presiding.&nbsp; Interment will be in St. Margaret\u2019s Cemetery, Buchanan, North Dakota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Eddy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leona Mae Krapp, 99, of Buchanan, ND passed away April 2nd, 2024 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Leona was born February 21, 1925 to Chris and Clara Schultheis in rural Round Top Township in Stutsman County, ND.&nbsp; Leona attended Round Top Country School through 8th grade.&nbsp; Her mother died [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":281217,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[26],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-281216","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-obits"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/281216","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/4"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=281216"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/281216\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":281223,"href":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/281216\/revisions\/281223"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/281217"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=281216"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=281216"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=281216"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
