JPD \u2013 The Jamestown Police Department wants to notify Jamestown residents regarding a new high risk sex offender who is residing within the city of Jamestown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

24 years of age, Erik Nathan Peterson, 403 1 Ave N #11, Jamestown. Peterson has no vehicle at this time.                    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peterson is white, 5 feet 06 inches tall, weighing 201 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Peterson has been assigned a high-risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney General.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Offense<\/strong>: Solicitation of Minor < 15 yrs. When Peterson was 21 years old, he corresponded with the 14-year-old victim via Facebook Messenger and requested nude photos of the victim along with a video of the victim masturbating. Peterson also sent a video of himself masturbating to the victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conviction Date<\/strong>:  02\/09\/2022 in Traill County District Court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disposition:<\/strong>  360 days; first serve 2 days; 2 days credit; 5 years supervised probation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peterson is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This
notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this
information be used to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender. Attempts to harass, intimidate or
threaten these offenders or their families, landlords or employers will be turned over for prosecution.
