FLM – New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh downplayed the notion of a rift with Aaron Rodgers after the star quarterback\u2019s unexcused absence from the team\u2019s mandatory minicamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAaron and I are on the exact same page,\u201d Saleh said Wednesday before the final practice session. \u201cThere\u2019s no issue between Aaron or his teammates, for that matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe addressed it yesterday. It\u2019s more of an issue for everyone outside the building than it is inside. That\u2019s about it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rodgers, 40, has been at the team facility for most of the spring. Rodgers, who told Saleh that he had a prior commitment, joined edge rusher Haason Reddick in failing to show on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSelfishly, I want all our guys here all the time, but when you get to these mandatory things, you make the best decision for yourself,\u201d Saleh said. \u201cObviously, selfishly I want all of them here all the time, but he made a decision and that\u2019s what he went with.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
