{"id":284425,"date":"2024-07-15T08:23:19","date_gmt":"2024-07-15T13:23:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=284425"},"modified":"2024-07-15T09:34:55","modified_gmt":"2024-07-15T14:34:55","slug":"jamestown-boy-scouts-troop-163-awarded-2500","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=284425","title":{"rendered":"Jamestown Boy Scouts Troop 163 Awarded $2500"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Jamestown Community Foundation has recently awarded a $2,500 grant to Troop 163 of the Jamestown Boy Scouts for assistance towards the purchase of a new trailer\/equipment.&nbsp; The local Scouts use the trailer and equipment for their trips to the regional camps and Jamborees around the country, and their current trailer is in dire need of replacement.&nbsp; This grant will bring them very close to their fund raising goal for the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Scouts program teaches young men and women the importance of citizenship and being a productive member of society.&nbsp; They encourage healthy life skills in fun and exciting ways that the leaders hope will be useful in kids&#8217; adult lives.&nbsp; The Scouts give back to the community through community service and restoration projects.&nbsp; They are chartered through the Men of Trinity from Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown.
