Valley City – Hi Everybody, thank you all who have been patient while walking, biking or driving through our construction areas.\u00a0 Thankfully progress is picking up some pace as weather is a bit more agreeable<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember \u201cMusic in City Park\u201d Wednesdays at 7:15.\u00a0 Grab a chair, invite some friends, go to City Park and enjoy a beautiful evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation\u2019s (SVCF) \u201cCommunity Grant Round\u201d remains open through July 19.\u00a0 Local nonprofits are invited and encouraged to apply for grants which support a plethora of project needs.\u00a0 Please see: https:\/\/www.yoursvcf.org\/grantopportunities<\/a> . Thank you to the folks at SVCF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday was another \u201cSummer Nights on Central\u201d event with music by \u201cTwo Weeks Notice\u201d.\u00a0 Another great crowd attended, be watching for the next one August 8th.\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t been downtown during Summer Nights on Central\u201d, make plans to go.. The event organizers do a great job providing entertainment for you.\u00a0 Thank you everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other day I called two friends, in their 90\u2019s.\u00a0 Though we hadn\u2019t talked for a long time, the visits were wonderful!\u00a0 When people in your life come to mind, perhaps a call could be gratifying for you both.\u00a0 Blessings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approximately 20% of oil extraction tax is directed to the Resources Trust Fund (RTF) for infrastructure development which is an envy of states across the country.\u00a0 Millions of dollars from the RTF are providing permanent flood protection cost shares for towns like Valley City, Lisbon and many more.\u00a0 North Dakotans can be grateful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) held its annual strategic planning meeting.\u00a0 Many hours of preparation by MRES staff including core priorities, capital improvements and load growth while balancing renewable and fossil fuel generation to maintain affordable, reliable and adequate power for the grid.\u00a0 Thank you staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
