We hope you continue to hold us in prayer as we make our way through this without him here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00 PM Friday, August 23<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2024, at Dacotah Pavilion in Chautauqua Park in Valley City North Dakota, followed by a lunch. Please plan on staying with us for a while to share stories, laughter and tears.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corey Alan Neseth was born July 14, 1964, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota to Clarion J. \u201cJerry\u201d and Lois (Berg) Neseth.&nbsp; Corey joined brother Craig, and now their family was complete.&nbsp; The Neseth family moved a few times while the boys were growing up.&nbsp; They wintered in Okeechobee, Florida when Corey was two years old.&nbsp; When he was a toddler they lived in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.&nbsp; Corey attended Preschool in Wilmar, Minnesota and completed Kindergarten through 9<sup>th<\/sup> grade in Pipestone, Minnesota. He completed his high school years in Perham, Minnesota graduating in 1982.&nbsp; Corey attended Moorhead, Minnesota College in 1983 and graduated from Moorhead Technical College in 1985 with a Technical Degree in Business Accounting. In 1993, Corey graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corey enjoyed the high school band, playing the coronet. He excelled in sports, playing football, softball, basketball and running track, even breaking school records with his speed. Corey also taught himself how to ride a unicycle, doing it well enough to bring a gallon of milk back from the store\u2026he sure loved his milk.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corey was a jack of all trades and worked in many places throughout his career.&nbsp; He owned Corey\u2019s Wholesale Electronics in Coon Rapids, Minnesota for 12 years.&nbsp; When he closed that business, he began the search for a job he would love.&nbsp; He was an independent sales rep in Cambridge, Minnesota, a customer service manager for Schwann\u2019s in Maple Grove, Minnesota, a Sales Representative for Partsmaster in Dallas, Texas, and to round out his earlier jobs, he was a machine operator for Barrel \u2018O Fun in Perham.&nbsp; Corey moved to North Dakota and worked for Hibu as a Sales Representative in Fargo, North Dakota, RDO Equipment in Lisbon, North Dakota as a Service Manager and then for Bakkegard &amp; Schell in Valley City as a Service Manager.&nbsp; He then landed at Drug Plastics in Valley City where he was currently employed.&nbsp; Corey was a night supervisor, and while the night hours weren\u2019t his favorite, he enjoyed the people and company that he worked for.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corey\u2019s move to North Dakota was to marry the love of his life Debra Baumgartner.&nbsp; They joined in marriage October 3, 2015, with 60\u2019s themed wedding that centered around his 1969 Mustang.&nbsp; Corey and Debby had so much fun planning this large family event with all taking part\u2026for it truly was all about the family.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since then, Corey and Debby have hosted many family reunions and gatherings at their home including Corey\u2019s recent 60<sup>th<\/sup> birthday party.&nbsp; He took pride in their home, and together they loved to host.&nbsp; Corey was a grill master and would smoke many pounds of meat for these events.&nbsp; He was also a master beer brewer and took such pride in sharing his latest beer with family and friends. Corey had just made two different beers for his father-in-law\u2019s 90<sup>th<\/sup> birthday party.&nbsp; He was so proud that it went quickly, and everyone loved it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corey had a zest for life and doing new things.&nbsp; In 2015, after their wedding, he attended scuba diving classes in Valley City.&nbsp; Corey completed the course and was able to take his open water dive in Cozumel while there on their honeymoon.&nbsp; He loved being in the water and all the beauty under the ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corey loved hunting, fishing, sports, cars and music (especially classic rock and the blues).&nbsp; He always said, \u201cYou can\u2019t brew a good beer if you\u2019re not listening to the blues while making it.\u201d He loved traveling and in recent years he and Debby had bought a time share in Cozumel.&nbsp; They were just there in April of 2024.&nbsp; Corey also loved to camp, and he had been busy rebuilding their old RV so they could enjoy many more years in it.&nbsp; They had plans of taking it south for the winter once they were both retired.&nbsp; Corey had also been busy rebuilding his 1969 Mustang so he could start doing car shows.&nbsp; He bought a new motor, had new seats made and the basement was full of everything for a Mustang waiting to be put together to make that car a beauty.&nbsp; Plans were made, but now cannot be completed.&nbsp; Our hearts are broken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He leaves behind his loving wife, Debby; step-children Cally Carpenter and Chase Carpenter; his mother Lois Cheever and step-father Walt Cheever; brother Craig (Kim) Neseth; brother-in-law Greg (Kim) Baumgartner; brother-in-law Todd (Lin) Baumgartner; brother-in-law Brian Baumgartner; sister-in-law Lisa (Wayne) Liebersbach; nephew Brian (Sheena) Neseth; nephew BJ (Michelle) Layman; niece Chris (Jim) Murphy; nephew Josh (Laura) Liebersbach; nephew Jake Liebersbach along with Sean Benson; nieces Carli Baumgartner, Jillian Baumgartner, Alysha Sabby, Samantha Baumgartner, Sara Baumgartner and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and grand nieces and nephews.
