Hi Folks, \u201cSummer \u2018Vikes\u2019 on Central\u201d will be held this Thursday with music by \u201cTripwire\u201d, food and fellowship.\u00a0 All in Valley City and the surrounding area, along with students and staff are invited.\u00a0 Folks from Valley City State University (VCSU) will gather by \u201cThe Footbridge\u201d and hike up town at 5:30.\u00a0 Come out and join the fun as ALL are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Friday night and Saturday the \u201c110<\/em><\/strong> Brady Larson Memorial Derby\u201d was held on the Winter Show Grounds.\u00a0 It was a masterful setup and appeared to be a huge success with parking lots packed like a big day at \u201cThe Winter Show\u201d.\u00a0 Congratulations to all who made Brady\u2019s Memorial Derby a gracious event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As per National Safety Month, September is \u201cEmergency Preparedness Month\u201d.\u00a0 A little preparation for emergency could save your family, property and community from injury or damage.\u00a0 Begin by talking, it is a start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our Valley City Volunteer Fire Department (VCFD), Electrical Department & Street Department have removed brush along with cleaning and grooming the picnic area at the \u201cBroken Road\u201d.\u00a0 Enjoy a walk or jog through the Broken Road and in the evening, it has added beauty with its illumination.\u00a0 Thank you so much to all who helped augment the rustic road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When you are near City Hall, stop in the Commission Chambers to see the pictures on loan from the Graphic Communication Class at the Sheyenne Valley Career and Tech.
