MOORHEAD, MN \u2013 The Valley City State men’s and women’s cross-country team competed in the MSUM Twilight Invite held at Nemzek Hall.
 
Karly Just<\/a> led the Viking women in the 5k with a time of 18:11 and a 10th<\/sup> place finish. Jasmine Barnes<\/a> placed 19th<\/sup> with a time of 19:29 in the 85-runner field. The Viking women did not record a team score on the night.
 
In the men’s 6k Rigo Garcia<\/a>, Tate Minnihan<\/a>, Zach Baumgartner<\/a> started their seasons with 53rd<\/sup>, 57th<\/sup>, and 58th<\/sup> place finishes. This helped the VCSU men’s team to a 7th<\/sup> place finish at the meet.
