* Measure #4, a constitutional measure, would eliminate property taxes if passed. While that sounds great, there are many funding consequences without solutions for all of us so be diligent in studying both sides of the measure. Biennially the legislature would need to squeeze approximately $3.15 B from a $12.2 B General Fund Budget to replace said property tax funding. Fire & police departments, health care, Parks & Rec, roads, schools and infrastructure to name a few places from which funds can be taken by the legislature. *Defeating Measure #4 would allow local control over your tax dollars rather than the state legislature controlling your dollars and inspire legislators with the importance of property tax reform. Be educated on both sides of the measures, be an informed voter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
