Wilson Arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THE BASICS<\/strong><br><strong>FINAL SCORE:<\/strong>&nbsp;Jamestown 8, Arizona 1<br><strong>LOCATION:<\/strong>&nbsp;John L. Wilson Arena, Jamestown, N.D.<br><strong>RECORDS:<\/strong>&nbsp;Jamestown 1-1-1-0, Arizona 1-4-0-0<strong><br><\/strong><br><strong>HOW IT HAPPENED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Jimmies scored on the power play, shorthanded, and at even strength in the first period to take a 3-0 lead.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/gauthier_chloe_xphr\">Chloe Gauthier<\/a>&nbsp;got things started with a power play goal at 6:31 of the first, assisted by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/schroder_gaby_26e0\">Gaby Schroder<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/frykman_alivia_fwxx\">Alivia Frykman<\/a>.<\/li><li>At the 9:53 mark of the first, Schroder made it a 2-0 game with a shorthanded goal assisted by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/wielgosh_bethany_96pf\">Bethany Wielgosh<\/a>.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/beaulac_sam_kx7i\">Sam Beaulac<\/a>&nbsp;added a third goal for UJ with 1:52 left in the period.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/belanger_promise_unqk\">Promise Belanger<\/a>&nbsp;was credited with the assist.<\/li><li>Jamestown put four more goals on the board in the second period. The first came on an unassisted goal by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/gee_rylee_pwi0\">Rylee Gee<\/a>&nbsp;at 4:43. Forty-seconds later,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/amick_kelsey_wanr\">Kelsey Amick<\/a>&nbsp;made it 5-0 from Frykman and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/andrew_maddie_1ic6\">Maddie Andrew<\/a>.<\/li><li>Andrew got her first collegiate goal at 13:21 on Belanger&#8217;s second assist of the game, and Frykman notched her first UJ score at 18:12 from Wielgosh and Schroder.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/vugteveen_kiran_1s0f\">Kiran Vugteveen<\/a>&nbsp;pushed the Jimmies&#8217; lead to 8-0 56 seconds into the final period on an assist from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/lee_ashton_7mya\">Ashton Lee<\/a>.<\/li><li>The Wildcats got on the board with a minute left on an unassisted goal by Grace McKeag.<\/li><li>Shots ended 48-26 in favor of Jamestown.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/achaw\/2024-25\/bios\/drew_lilah_hhgj\">Lilah Drew<\/a>&nbsp;had 25 saves for UJ. Lauryn Hanafin stopped 22 of 28 shots before Olivia Sorlie came on with 6:39 remaining in the second.
