Stacy Ingstad and Terry Undem will provide a short program \u201cTai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance\u201d starting at 1:30 PM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOne of our goals in public health is to help community members live in their homes as they age. With our next Memory Caf\u00e9, we want to share how better balance is a way you can do so,\u201d says Kerry Due, Director of Nursing at City-County Health District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance class has been very popular. This class helps you improve muscle strength, balance, flexibility and mobility. We\u2019ve had participants report ways they\u2019ve used the skills learned to prevent falls in a slippery parking lot or to help them stand up easier. Stacy Ingstad and Terry Undem have become instructors and will have you up and moving for better balance during the Memory Cafe,\u201d shares Sue Milender, NDSU Extension \u2013 Barnes County. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf you are concerned about memory loss and want to learn more, join us for the next Sheyenne Valley Memory Caf\u00e9,\u201d states Due. The Memory Caf\u00e9 is an opportunity for people with early onset dementia or Alzheimer\u2019s to connect as well as their caregivers and family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
