Jamestown <\/strong>– Jamestown Regional Medical Center Foundation has launched a new capital fundraising campaign to support three vital projects aimed at improving patient care. The projects, which include upgrades to neonatal care equipment and emergency room security, are part of JRMC\u2019s continued effort to provide exceptional healthcare services to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese projects are essential to maintaining the high standard of care that our patients and their families expect,\u201d said JRMC President and CEO Mike Delfs. \u201cWe are deeply grateful to the community for its ongoing support, which allows us to offer legendary care to those who need it most.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign seeks to raise funds for the following projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pediatric Protection System \u2013 $150,000<\/strong>
The Hugs\u00ae and Kisses\u00ae infant protection system is a critical safety feature in JRMC\u2019s Family BirthPlace. This advanced system pairs a Hugs tag worn by newborns with a Kisses tag worn by their mothers, ensuring that babies are always correctly matched with their parents and alerting staff if an infant is moved outside of a secure area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe safety of our newborns is our top priority,\u201d said Emily Woodley, Family BirthPlace manager. \u201cThis technology adds an important layer of protection from the moment a baby is born. We appreciate the community\u2019s support in helping us provide this essential care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infant Warmer \u2013 $25,000<\/strong>
The Panda\u2122 Warmer is a key piece of equipment used in JRMC\u2019s labor and delivery suites to keep newborns warm immediately after birth. It also offers integrated oxygen monitoring, resuscitation assistance and a built-in scale, all of which are critical to providing life-saving care when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ER Entrance Remodel \u2013 $46,000<\/strong>
JRMC plans to remodel the entrance to its emergency department to enhance security and improve the safety of both patients and staff. The renovation will create a more secure admissions area, allowing medical teams to focus on delivering critical care during emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThese improvements to our ER will ensure a safer environment for everyone involved in emergency situations,\u201d said Sheila Krapp, JRMC Emergency Department manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
