University all they could handle Saturday afternoon, falling 35-30 to the Blue Hawks at Charlotte &amp; Gordon Hansen Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THE BASICS<\/strong><br><strong>FINAL SCORE<\/strong><em>:<\/em>&nbsp;Dickinson State 35, Jamestown 30<br><strong>LOCATION:<\/strong>&nbsp;Rollie Greeno Field at Charlotte &amp; Gordon Hansen Stadium, Jamestown, N.D.<br><strong>RECORDS:<\/strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em>&nbsp;Jamestown 2-7 (2-5 NSAA), Dickinson State 7-1 (6-0 NSAA)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOW IT HAPPENED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>DSU opened the scoring in the first quarter on a 12-yard pass from Will Madler to Semaj Clark with 8:32 left.<\/li><li>Jamestown answered on the next drive as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/fball\/2024-25\/bios\/grann_john_w4pb\">Johnny Grann<\/a>&nbsp;found&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/fball\/2024-25\/bios\/burke_nathan_ce1y\">Nate Burke<\/a>&nbsp;for a 9-yard touchdown pass, tying the game at 7-7. Grann completed all 4 pass attempts on the drive for 67 yards, including a 45-yard strike to Burke on the play prior to the touchdown.<\/li><li>On the first play of the second quarter, Braden Zuroff ran three yards for a touchdown to put DSU ahead 14-7.<\/li><li>The Blue Hawks extended their lead on a three-yard touchdown run by Darion Brown with 4:39 in the first half, making it 21-7.<\/li><li>Just as it looked like the Jimmies had lost some momentum, Grann engineered another scoring drive, connecting with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/fball\/2024-25\/bios\/roebuck_isaiah_gtpg\">Isaiah Roebuck<\/a>&nbsp;for a 17-yard score to trail 21-14 going into halftime.<\/li><li>UJ received the second-half kickoff and went 60 yards in eight plays, with a 24-yard run by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/fball\/2024-25\/bios\/hammett_zachariah_p7vx\">Zach Hammett<\/a>&nbsp;tying the game at the 10:40 mark of the third quarter.<\/li><li>DSU responded with a 12-play, 75-yard drive that ended with Madler throwing a three-yard pass to Gage Gilbert, giving the Blue Hawks a 28-21 lead.<\/li><li>The next Jimmie drive resulted in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/fball\/2024-25\/bios\/peterson_aanon_p0n8\">Aanon Peterson<\/a>&#8216;s 22-yard field goal, cutting the DSU advantage to 28-24 with 13:32 left in the game.<\/li><li>Madler looked to have delivered the knockout punch for the Blue Hawks, finding the end zone after a 10-yard run with 7:21 to go put the Blue Hawks up by 11.<\/li><li>Jamestown took over with 1:53 to play at their own 21-yard line, and Grann threw a 44 yard pass to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/fball\/2024-25\/bios\/antsino_erastus_29en\">Erastus Antsino<\/a>&nbsp;to get the Jimmies to the DSU 35.<\/li><li>Grann hit Roebuck for a 17-yard gain, then after two incompletions, found Roebuck for 18 yards and another touchdown. The 2-point conversion attempt failed, and DSU led 35-30 with 1:18 remaining.<\/li><li>An onside kick attempt went out of bounds, and the Blue Hawks ran out the clock for the win.<\/li><li>Roebuck set a new Jimmie record with 17 catches and finished with 166 receiving yards and a pair of scores.<\/li><li>Burke grabbed six passes for 110 yards and a touchdown, and Antsino hauled in three passes for 56 yards.<\/li><li>Hammett carried 15 times for 73 yards with a touchdown.<\/li><li>Grann was 32-of-49 passing for 372 yards and three touchdowns. His 32 completions were a new career high.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/fball\/2024-25\/bios\/rantz_jed_yf2c\">Jed Rantz<\/a>&nbsp;led the defense with 7 tackles, followed by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/sports\/fball\/2024-25\/bios\/chaffee_parker_rp7p\">Parker Chaffee<\/a>&nbsp;with 6.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>UP NEXT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Jamestown is off next Saturday, then closes out the season at home against Valley City (N.D.)
