The league said in a release that the $100,000 penalty is partly because of Edwards\u2019 past offenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 23-year-old was fined $25,000 on Dec. 9 for using profane language during an interview after the Timberwolves won at Golden State 107-90 three days earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edwards lost another $75,000 two weeks later when he used profanity while criticizing the officiating from a 113-103 home loss to the Warriors on Dec. 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also cost himself $35,000 when he made an obscene gesture on the court during Minnesota\u2019s 130-126 road win over Sacramento on Nov. 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A two-time All-Star, Edwards leads the Timberwolves (16-14) with 25.3 points per game this season to go along with 5.5 rebounds and four assists per contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013Field Level Media<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The FAN- Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards was fined a third time this month, this one costing him $100,000 for using profanity during a postgame interview, the NBA announced Sunday.
