(AP Oct 4, 2013) – Police in Stamford, Conn., say they had gone to the home of Miriam Carey in the past — but that it wasn’t in response to any crime. They’re not offering any details. But a federal official says investigators have found that Carey’s mental state had been deteriorating in recent months — and that she was delusional, believing that President Barack Obama was communicating to her. Thursday, with her one-year-old daughter in the car with her, she rammed a barrier outside the White House and was pursued by police to Capitol Hill, where she was shot and killed.<\/p>\n
Reported previously<\/p>\n
WASHINGTON (AP Oct 3, 2013) – Witnesses and officials say a woman driving a car with a young child inside tried to ram through a White House barricade, led police on a chase toward the Capitol, where police shot and killed her.
