{"id":289790,"date":"2025-01-14T15:50:08","date_gmt":"2025-01-14T21:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=289790"},"modified":"2025-01-14T15:50:10","modified_gmt":"2025-01-14T21:50:10","slug":"leona-weisser-fri-january-10-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=289790","title":{"rendered":"Leona Weisser &#8211; Fri January 10, 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/weisserleona11025.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"225\" height=\"299\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/weisserleona11025.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-289791\" srcset=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/weisserleona11025.jpg 225w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/weisserleona11025-132x175.jpg 132w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Leona Weisser, 97, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Friday morning, January 10, 2025 at St. Gabriel\u2019s Community, Bismarck, ND.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leona was born June 23, 1927, in Medina, ND, the daughter of Jacob and Marie (Mayer) Moos.&nbsp; She attended country schools in the area and helped on the family farm south of Medina.&nbsp; Leona was united in marriage to Theodore \u201cTed\u201d Weisser on October 30, 1953.&nbsp; They made their home in Jamestown where Leona worked at Lil\u2019s Restaurant and the North Dakota State Hospital.&nbsp; She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos.&nbsp; Leona would can vegetables and Ted would tend to the garden each year.&nbsp; He passed away on September 21, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leona is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Weisser; grandchildren, Robert Olson, Sarah (Matt) Kurle, and Heather Hagel; and great grandchildren, Hunter and Shelby; and great-great grandchild, Huntley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted; daughter, Marlene; granddaughter, Becca Jo; and siblings, Leon, Albert, Arthur, Pauline, Reuben, Leonard, Irene, Robert, and Clarence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at St. John\u2019s Lutheran Church, Jamestown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitation: One hour before the service at the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leona Weisser, 97, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Friday morning, January 10, 2025 at St. Gabriel\u2019s Community, Bismarck, ND.
