News Oct 4, 2013) &#8212; A Jamestown man has been bound over for trial, charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.<\/p>\n<p>49 year old Said Ahmed Muse of Jamestown waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Southeast District Court, on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Muse has pleaded not guilty to both charges.<\/p>\n<p>Muse, is accused of using a large knife or machete in an attack on 26 year old Abdirizak Nur in an incident that occurred in Jamestown on June 8.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger says, Abdirizak, was treated for a deep cut to the left bicep and cuts to the hand. He says Muse and Abdirizak were acquainted.<\/p>\n<p>The case will now be scheduled for a jury trial.<\/p>\n<p>Muse remains in custody on $100,000 bond.<\/p>\n<p>The attempted murder charge is a Class A felony while aggravated assault is a Class C felony.<\/p>\n<p>A Class A felony is punishable by 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Attempted murder has a minimum penalty of four years in prison. A Class C felony is punishable by five years in prison and $5,000 fine.
