Nurses at JRMC play a vital role of the healthcare team and have a say in policy and practice decisions. Achieving the Pathway designation signifies that JRMC nurses are actively engaged, leading to &nbsp;higher job satisfaction, reduced turnover, improved safety and better patient outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cThis journey is a testament to the incredible work of our nurses and reinforces JRMC\u2019s commitment to being a leader in healthcare experience,\u201d said Trisha Jungels, JRMC\u2019s chief nursing officer and vice president.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>JRMC has up to one year to finalize the application process before an ANCC survey determines if the designation has been achieved. Hospital leadership will continue to survey, communicate with and educate nursing staff until the final submission in August 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJRMC had already established the vast majority of Pathway standards into our practices and culture,\u201d said Jillian Hildebrandt, clinical support manager &amp; Pathway program director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cOur team\u2019s efforts have been more focused on communicating what already exists and enculturating our new nurses.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>JRMC informs nursing staff on the application process through an internal program called \u201cSweet Street.\u201d This program uses a cart, nicknamed Sugar Rush, to deliver treats and highlight different aspects of the Pathway program throughout the medical center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once Pathway designated, JRMC will be a leader in enhancing quality of care, patient and nursing safety and the future of healthcare delivery.
