JAMESTOWN<\/strong> – Jamestown Regional Medical Center has earned recognition for its commitment to cardiac care, receiving a one-year provisional Acute Cardiac Ready Hospital designation<\/a>, effective through February 2026. This designation recognizes JRMC as a state-designated STEMI-referring center, underscoring the medical center\u2019s commitment to providing timely, evidence-based cardiovascular care for the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A STEMI (ST-elevation myocardial infarction) heart attack is one of the most severe types of heart attacks. It occurs when a coronary artery becomes completely blocked, requiring rapid medical intervention to restore blood flow. Quick recognition and treatment of STEMI heart attacks are critical in reducing heart damage, improving survival rates and enhancing long-term recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The designation is granted by the North Dakota Cardiac System of Care<\/a>, an organization dedicated to improving patient outcomes by ensuring adherence to national treatment guidelines and driving data-driven performance improvements in cardiac care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is a huge milestone for JRMC,\u201d said Trisha Jungels, JRMC vice president and CNO. \u201cWe couldn\u2019t be prouder of our team\u2019s dedication to timely, evidence-based cardiovascular care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
