News Oct 7, 2013) &#8212; Jamestown Mayor Katie Andersen says the Jamestown City Council will meet in Special Session Wednesday (Oct 9, 2013) at City Hall, to discuss economic indicators in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday\u2019s\u00a0 (Oct 7, 2013) Wayne Byers Show on CSi 2, the Mayor said the meeting will address &#8220;retail leakage,&#8221; or, how to retain retail business in Jamestown. Areas of discussion is scheduled to include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Receiving information relative to certain economic indicators in the Jamestown Trade Area;<\/li>\n<li>Possible discussion concerning information received relative to certain economic indicators;<\/li>\n<li>Possible discussion relative to a business concern indicating potential location in the Jamestown Trade Area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Mayor added that it\u2019s possible that the City Council may enter into Executive Session to discuss certain proprietary information relative to a potential business locating into the Jamestown Trade Area.<\/p>\n<p>The Mayor also said the City of Jamestown will be updating and replacing traffic control signals on 10<sup>th<\/sup> Street Southeast at the intersections of 1<sup>st<\/sup> Avenue, 4<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and 7<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue Southeast, with the parts to be used to update the traffic signals on 1<sup>st<\/sup> Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>She said with the upcoming completion of the city\u2019s Land Use and Transportation Plan, further recommendations may be made on the 1<sup>st<\/sup> Avenue traffic signals.<\/p>\n<p>With the Jamestown Sanitary Sewer Project, Mayor Andersen said the project is on schedule.
