This program provides an opportunity for individuals, businesses, and organizations to show their pride and support for the Jamestown community by contributing to the cleanliness, safety, and beauty of our shared public spaces.

We’re excited to recognize the Kiwanis Club of Jamestown, who has adopted Solien-Denault Park, and Steven Rosenbaum, who has adopted Klaus Park. Their dedication will help bring extra care and attention to these spaces, making them more enjoyable for all park users.

We also extend our sincere thanks to several ongoing Adopt-A-Park partners for their continued support and commitment. Gate City Bank continues to care for Nickeus Park, the High Plains Association of Realtors maintains Meidinger Park, and Jill Trygg tends to the flower beds at McElroy Park. Their contributions exemplify the community spirit that makes this program such a success.

“Partnerships like these are what keep our parks vibrant and welcoming,” said Amy Walters, Executive Director of Jamestown Parks and Recreation. “With limited resources and a growing need for outdoor spaces, the support from our Adopt-A-Park partners allows us to go above and beyond in caring for our community. We’re incredibly grateful for their time, energy, and dedication.”

While Jamestown Parks and Recreation continues to provide standard maintenance across more than 160 acres of parkland and 30 miles of trails in 10 neighborhood parks, the Adopt-A-Park/Trail Program enhances those efforts by allowing volunteers to give additional time and attention to areas that need it most. This collaboration not only helps make our parks more inviting but also allows JPRD to better prioritize projects and respond to the evolving needs of the community.

We are grateful for the support of our current adopters and welcome anyone interested in getting involved.
