Valley City (CCHD) – Officer Ian Jacobson of the Valley City Police Department was honored by City-County Health District (CCHD) on Tuesday evening for his outstanding contributions to community prevention and public health collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officer Jacobson has gone above and beyond in his role, supporting initiatives that protect youth, promote safe environments, and strengthen cross-sector partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among his many contributions, Officer Jacobson co-led a forensic ID scanner training ahead of the annual Winter Show, helping local bartenders spot fake IDs and practice handling difficult situations with confidence. He has also played a key role in leading alcohol compliance checks, contributing to a dramatic increase in pass rates \u2013 from just 26% in early 2024 to 93% in the most recent round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOfficer Jacobson brings consistency, compassion, and commitment to everything he does,\u201d said Katie Beyer, Administrator for City-County Health District. \u201cHe brings a sense of respect, follow-through, and shared purpose that makes this work not only possible, but impactful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacobson\u2019s partnership with City-County Health District, particularly with RN Prevention Specialist Meghan Velure, has become a cornerstone of several successful local initiatives. \u201cHis ability to bridge law enforcement with education and prevention is a true asset to our community,\u201d said Velure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
