BISMARCK, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Oct 10, 2013) \u2013 The N.D. Department of Human Services\u2019 Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) recently honored several employees for their work assisting North Dakotans with disabilities to obtain employment.<\/p>\n
Jennifer Moldenhauer and <\/b>Debra Carlson, Jamestown<\/b>, were recipients of the Director\u2019s Award for Counselor Achievement. <\/i>This award highlights the top 10 percent of counselors with the highest number of individuals placed into employment. <\/b><\/p>\n
Robyn Throlson,<\/b> Bismarck and <\/b>Derek Kimmes, Jamestown, were co-recipients of the Exemplary Service Award<\/i>. This award recognizes outstanding case service to VR clients by showing creative thinking, direct work with multiple agencies, and consistent client follow-up.<\/b><\/p>\n
Other honorees included:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Katharine Millner and<\/b> Candace Hanson, Bismarck, were the recipients of the Director\u2019s Award for Counselor Achievement \u2013 Honorable Mention. <\/i>This award honors counselors who have the second highest number of individuals placed into employment.<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00b7 Jamie Hetrick of Dickinson was honored as the Rookie of the Year. <\/i>This award honors a VR employee with less than two years of service who exceeds performance goals and displays a high level of community service and involvement. <\/b><\/p>\n
\u00b7 Erik Anthony of Grand Forks was honored with the Director\u2019s Award for Excellence. <\/i>Anthony was nominated for this prestigious award by his peers for demonstrating dedication, productivity, and dependability to the VR program. <\/b><\/p>\n
The Career Achievement Awards<\/i> are based on the number of people with disabilities placed into employment over the course of a vocational rehabilitation counselor\u2019s career. The awards start at the 100 Club award <\/i>level and increase in increments of 100.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Debra Carlson of Jamestown received the Career Achievement \u2013 500 Club award.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
\u00b7 Brenda Satrom of Grand Forks received the Career Achievement \u2013 200 Club award.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
\u00b7 Jennifer Moldenhauer of Jamestown and <\/b>Misty Leuthardt-Riskey of Fargo received the Career Achievement \u2013 100 Club award.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
The N.D. Vocational Rehabilitation program\u2019s mission is to assist individuals with disabilities to maximize their employment opportunities and to assist business owners and employers in finding solutions to disability-related issues.<\/p>\n
