Jamestown (JRMC) – Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) has been recognized by Becker\u2019s Hospital Review<\/em> as one of 514 hospitals nationwide with a catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) rate of zero based on the healthcare-associated infections dataset from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A zero CAUTI rate reflects JRMC\u2019s commitment to evidence-based protocols \u2013 clinical practices that implement the best available research, physician expertise and patient values to optimize outcomes. These include minimizing catheter use, proper sterile insertion techniques to avoid contamination and prompt removals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nurses in JRMC\u2019s Surgery Center, Patient Care Unit and Family BirthPlace \u2014 the primary areas of the medical center where catheters are used \u2014 follow these protocols daily with administrative support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
